Past-Life Regression

Have you ever heard of the term “Past-Life Regression”? If not, it’s likely you have heard of reincarnation. Past life regression is based on reincarnation which is a belief that a soul survives death and is re-born as another person so that it could have a new opportunity to experience life.

You have probably seen on TV or read somewhere about strange cases where a person or a child claims that this is not their first life and usually they are able to provide some details about their previous life. Indian forensic scientist Vikram Raj Singh Chauhan is trying to prove that these cases are true and that there are people who have actual memories of their past life. He decided to investigate the story of a six-year-old boy named Taranjijt Singh who claimed he died in an accident and was able to describe in detail what happened and where he lived, he remembered which school he attended and even his father’s name. It was found that the accident really happened and the boy met his previous parents and he recognized their wedding picture. Chauhan took the notebook that belonged to a deceased boy and compared the handwriting to Taranjijt’s. They were the same, an unlikely coincidence.

Past-Life Regression can be a valuable tool for therapy. Any competent Hypnotherapist is qualified to do a Past-Life Regression if he/she can stay objective and keep an open mind. On the other hand, one must be careful about discussing Past-Life Regression because there are many different religious beliefs. Hypnotherapist should only perform PLR on a client if the client suggests and approaches the therapist. Ideally, the client should have been successfully hypnotized in a previous session.

The procedure should be performed in a quiet and safe room so that client cannot be disturbed. Average regressions last for 1 or 2 hours, depending on the client’s state and the number of lives experienced. Ideally the session should be recorded as many clients do not remember what was said. The therapist should be very careful to not ask leading questions to a client as that could cause false memories. They should also be aware of the client in case they see or experience a traumatic event.

Clients may experience anything from few or no vivid pictures to completely assuming the identity.

If you feel like an ‘old soul’ maybe you should think about your childhood and memories you have. Keep an open mind and you never know what you can discover.
