Are there any academic (graduate level) programs in Hypnosis? If so what are the best ones?
While there are very few specific programs in hypnosis at the graduate level (in fact the only one that really comes to mind is Bournemouth University in the UK, MSc in Hypnosis in Research, Medicine, and Clinical Practice), there are a few others in Psychology which might be open to the discussion of hypnosis as a thesis topic.
There are several PhD programs as well as MS programs that are respectable enough that are studying hypnosis through Psychology. That includes University of Hartford (Len Milling), Baylor (Gary Elkins), Saybrook University (Stan Krippner, Eric Willmarth, and Don Moss), Naropa University (Ian Wickramasekera), Ohio State (Green), Binghamton Univ (Steven Lynn), University of Wisconsin (Sapp).
One of the ways to find possible PIs to work with is to find peer reviewed journals in hypnosis and look at the editorial board to see who are affiliated with departments.
