This is a little bit of knowledge for young hypnotists as well as prospective clients.
For those young hypnotists who are on various social medias, there will be a time where you will have a prospective client by pass your business or professional profiles and instead contact you personally to bypass the consultation and may even try to friend you. These will almost always be a white male and will happen if you are male or female. If you consider this creepy or uncomfortable, you are not alone. Stalking can be very high in this community because we make people feel good. It is ok to tell them it is inappropriate and it is ok to refuse to see them.
For clients that are considering doing this. Ask yourself…. why? We are (for the most part) not your friends especially if we don’t know you. If someone is willing to work for free, that is great for them but that is not a majority of us especially when you stalk us privately. Additionally, do you work for free? You cannot make the assumption. And why would you by pass a business profile to find the hypnotist’s unlinked facebook page? If you are planning to do this, please find a different hypnotist because it is not welcome here.
