Do you want to become a better human being?
For most people, the answer is… yes!
Most people have at least one thing about themselves that they would like to improve regardless of if people say they are perfect or not.
There are a lot of ways to become a better human being and that partially depends on what you want to work on and what do you want to improve. Do you want to become a better writer? Have more confidence? Or do you just want to improve your appearance or stop a bad habit? Or simply, and quite bluntly and pardon my French but, not be as much of an asshole to others?
For some things, something like hypnosis might be the best option but for others, the same suggestions that can be used via hypnosis could be done with life coaching. While hypnosis is contraindicated for several severe mental disorders, everyone can benefit from a life coaching session.
Life coaching is a very underappreciated tool that can make huge changes in just a few sessions. In some ways, it can be very similar to that of a solution focused therapy session. The goal is to help you work out solutions to the problems you are facing. This could include new ways on how to make friends when you have always had difficulties making friends. Or how to set up a game plan for making a career move and even getting the amount of money that you are worth.
To look for a good life coach, there are many different ways to find them. Perhaps the best option outside of receiving a referral from a friend, is to look for a life coach on a website such as Psychology Today. Psychology Today although most known for their “find a therapist” tool to find a qualified clinical psychologist or licensed professional counselor, life coaches are also on this tool.
Before a provider is list themselves on the platform, their licenses and degrees are verified. Once verified, they can select some of the areas they specialize in. Additionally, prospective clients are able to find if a provider is able to take their insurance and how much it is without insurance as most life coaches do not accept insurance. Life coaches are also able to post a bio about themselves so you can find the right life coach for your circumstances. You can reach out to individuals and see who can best help you on your quest to improve yourself.
