I am currently at the 2019 annual meeting of the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. If I can be blunt, I have never enjoyed a conference more than this one. For all of you hypnotists especially those of you who are research nerds like I am, you need to consider contacting them or joining. Their website is https://www.sceh.us/ and the conference isn’t huge by any stretch, I don’t even think the attendees total equal 100 people. Everyone has been incredible. I finally met a few people who I had only been talking to via email. I would have liked to meet more of the PhDs and faculty but unfortunately I had a client when I needed to be at the networking event. I was also stuck in the introductory workshop so I could start a new certification and it is taken as a cohort and there was no exempting out although I knew most of the material as is, but it will also help for ASCH certification so could be a two-fer. It was absolutely wonderful to be with this group of people everyone is INCREDIBLE and so welcoming to students, as in there is even a mentoring program. If anyone can go to a conference on hypnosis, and they can’t afford the Erickson Congress, this conference needs to be the one to pick.
